Aside from having a website with a nice design and that is easy to read and navigate, there are other considerations. How are people going to find your website? Once they do, how do they stay connected to your business over time? How do you keep your site content fresh? My services go beyond just designing a website.
Web design begins with an understanding of your business, and an understanding your needs regarding a website. What do you like (or not like) in a design. What colors best represent your business.
While I am happy to maintain your website, you also can do some of the updating yourself! Two common options:
- I offer our hosting clients a content editing system that allows the site owner to make changes to text, as well as add images
- Or Adobe Contribute software offers a simple and affordable way to make website updates.
Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
Being found on Google is, for most businesses, of prime importance. Search optimization starts with getting the right words in the right places on (and within the code of) your website. For a sampling of a few successes, please visit the SEO results page.
FACEBOOK AND TWITTER: SOCIAL MARKETING
Facebook and Twitter offer a quick way to reach your clients. They also offer a way for potential clients to find you! Google +1 is another tool that is like adding a public "stamp of approval" on your website. Learn more about +1.
Google AdWords / Yahoo Search Marketing
In addition to a website’s "natural rank", there is the option of a paid listing that appears on the right-hand side of the search results page (see image at left).
Web Hosting and Domain Name Registration
Zolé's hosting service includes a monthly reporting of statistics (i.e. number of visitors, pages visited, keywords used to find your site) which allows you to gauge the value of your website to your business. Hosting also includes email addresses. Domain name registration also available.
I can, in most cases, maintain your existing site (regardless of who originally designed or built it). Small site edits (under an hour) can generally be done within 48 business hours.
If you have an email list, or want to start building one, I can help. I can design a custom newsletter and "develop" it into the coding required to send via email. Additionally, I can help you build your email list using subscription forms placed on your website.
